Thanks for the great review, Kathy!

"i just bought a new toyota corolla LE today with the price that i cant be happier. the service was excellent, the saleman who name is Russell was so nice, i went to Longo and they treat me and my aunt like nobody, the price was way over the top too.we went there thinking that they would like us a good deal for a college student like me, who have not made a penny myself yet, and i had been contacting all the dealer near hi-desert such as Garden Grove, ontario, Orange county,.... but none of them give me the price and the service that i expect except Valley Hi (ask for Russell if you want to buy a car there, he is just so nice)." -Kathy

Toyota Makes Its 200th Million (Including 39 Million Corollas)

G1-truck-450x331

Car counters, pay attention:  Sometime in June (nobody really knows when and where), Toyota made its 200 millionth car.

Starting with the production of the Model G1 truck in August 1935, it took them 76 years and 11 months to reach that milestone. At the end of June, cumulative production in Japan reached 145.21 million vehicles, overseas production reached 55.12 million vehicles – and it’s already 330,000 ahead of the 200 million. This according to a statement by Toyota.

39.08 million made

Toyota’s and arguably the world’s most made car is the Corolla with 39.08 million units officially produced as of the end of June 2012.

Toyota had been the world’s largest automaker, lost the title to GM in 2011, and could regain it this year.

Way to go, Valley Hi Toyota team!

I drove to Valley-Hi Toyota with the desire to purchase, but with the mindset of walking-out of a deal if it sounded bad. I must admit that I was skeptical at first given that I was driving from Chino and didn't know whether this would be my last stop. I had already visited about three other Toyota dealers in the region and contacted a few others via email/ phone, so I would not have been afraid of walking out of a fourth dealer. Thankfully, the crew handling my requests was great. Beginning with Edgar via internet (quickly responding with a good starting price), then Mike quickly greeting me upon arrival, showing me the cars, and helping me with the paperwork, E-Z with negotiating the price (which was great because it was quick, hassle-free, and reasonable), then Albert giving his final blessing, and Ramiro who took care of the registration/ finance, and then back to Mike who prepared my first vehicle for delivery and went over of all the cool features of the vehicle, plus Nathan who also who helped prepare the second vehicle on my second trip to the dealer. This team certainly made my trip to the High Desert worthwhile. Special shout-out to Mike that provided an excellent Q&A opportunity whenever I had to wait for documents to be processed and verified and was always on top of things offering beverages and seating when appropriate and even explaining what was going on while we waited. Would I do it again? Yeah! -Alex H. @ OneStopNET

Second Group of 25 Winners Announced in Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program

TORRANCE, Calif. (JULY 10, 2012) – Toyota today announced the second group of winners of the Toyota 100 Cars for Good program, a national philanthropic program that is awarding 100 cars to 100 nonprofits over the course of 100 consecutive days. Winners are selected each day through public voting on Facebook at www.100carsforgood.com.

Starting May 14 and running through August 21, each day five nonprofit organizations are profiled on the 100 Cars for Good Facebook page. Registered Facebook users are able to vote once daily for the nonprofit they think can do the most good with a new vehicle. The organization with the most votes at the end of the day will win a new Toyota vehicle. The four runners-up will each receive a $1,000 cash grant from Toyota.

“With this announcement of the next 25 winners, we mark the half-way point of the 2012 Toyota 100 Cars for Good program,” said Jim Lentz, president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota created the 100 Cars for Good program as a way to give to a variety of organizations across the country and to do so with the help and support of the American public. It’s the public vote that decides which organizations will receive a new Toyota vehicle and we are thrilled to see the outpouring of support for the program with thousands of votes.”

The majority of the second group of 25 winners (the first 25 winners were announced in June) provide services in a variety of areas including animal welfare, education, health & safety, and human services to children, adults and the disabled.

Toyota Camry Tops Cars.com's American-Made Index for the Fourth Consecutive Year

The Toyota Camry mid-size sedan, America’s best-selling car for 10 years running and 14 of the past 15 years, claimed the top spot for the fourth consecutive year in the annual Cars.com American-Made Index.
The Cars.com American-Made Index is an annual ranking of vehicles deemed most American based on domestic parts content, final assembly point of vehicles and American sales volume. Camry is assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK) in Georgetown, Ky., and at the SIA (Subaru of Indiana Automotive) plant in Lafayette, Indiana.
Additionally, Toyota placed more models in the Cars.com American-Made Index Top 10 than any other nameplate. The Sienna ranked fourth to lead all minivans and the Tundra full-size pickup ranked seventh. The Sienna is assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana in Princeton and the Tundra is built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas (TMMTX) in San Antonio.
